Some of My Work
Who am I?
I am a father, a husband, and an artist.
I grew up drawing, folding 11x17 paper in half and making my own comics. For hours I would sit at my parent's old oak coffee table, designing pages with little boxes for dialogue or large splash pages with only art. I still do this today, only now I call it my career and work with great collegues and clients.
I love working with people. Finding out what they want the project to accomplish and how I can help them reach that goal is the most important thing about designing and not just a step along the way. To me this is the process and I spend as much time elaborating on why I would design a piece one way and not another, as I do sketching out concepts. It's not just about making it pretty, especially if the client doesn't understand why you designed it that way.
It is this philosophy that I take with me every day when starting a new project, revisiting an older one or just browsing work within my industry.
I love my job. Whether its design or illustration, I can't imagine doing anything else. So if you have a project you need help with, or just want to chat about comics, movies or hockey, feel free to drop me a line.
